Motor Law Solicitors, MILS, have successfully defeated a claim of discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation.
The case involved an accountant who was dismissed because our client
reasonably believed him to be grossly negligent in carrying out his
duties. The Claimant asserted that he had been dismissed because he was
homosexual. Our client’s case was that there was simply no evidence
that his sexuality played any part in his dismissal. The Claimant
having received the bundle and witness statements prepared by MILS then
failed to show at the Hearing and the case was struck out.
Case Details
- Damages claimed: £10,000 -£15,000
- Legal fees saved by MILS est. £3000 - £5000.
