Tribunal Guidance on Redundancy Selection

In County Print v Page the Employment Appeal Tribunal has given further clarification on fair consultation and selection in a redundancy pooling exercise.

The Claimant was part of a pool for selection and was dismissed for redundancy. The appeal focused on the Tribunal’s findings that the Respondent failed to conduct adequate or effective consultation with the Claimant by reason of their failure to provide him with an adequate explanation of why he had received lower scores than the other two people in the pool for redundancy.
