We continue to mark a steady rise in the number of enquiries from members regarding incidents of used car “cloning” which, according to the national crime statistics, is the fastest growing car crime in the UK, and represents a significant potential loss to members who find themselves inadvertently having made the wrong purchase.
It is therefore becoming increasingly important that members should
have the correct training and procedures in place and that vigilance is
maintained when checking all incoming stock.
