MILS scheme saves client approximately £5,000 Case Details: Mrs Murphy entered into a Finance Agreement to purchase a vehicle from the Car Shop. She alleged that the Finance Agreement had been missold. She alleged, amongst other things, that the interest rates had been misrepresented and she had not received copy documents. She sought the sum of approximately £20,000. The Car Shop strenuously denied any misselling of the Finance Agreement. Further they relied on the findings from the Financial Ombudsman that Mrs Murphy’s complaint was not upheld. The case was successfully settled between the finance company, the Car Shop and Mrs Murphy.
